I think we can all agree this hasn’t been a banner week. But the world still turns.
I wrote a piece Wednesday morning about how we must shine on, fight on, hope on. (You can read it here.) And I’m striving, truly, to rally behind that ideal.
But some moments, many moments…I struggle.
So I’ve been singing this song to remind myself. And my kids. Who are getting a crash course in the meaning of the word “determination.”
If you’re feeling powerless and want to do something RIGHT NOW in support of those most affected by this election, consider donating to one of the organizations on this list. If you want to write a protest song and let YOUR little light shine, I’ll back you up on the ukulele. Or if you want a hug, I’m here for that, too.
In the meantime, shine on, my sweets. And rest up. We have much work to do.
Was that good for you, too? Then click here and follow my Facebook page. Or even better, join the mailing list. Free pony with every subscription. Probably.
